:wtf: They were all over the clubs and houseparties out here in LA.....

Mofo is trolling or they were playing Pokemon or something at their parties. I went to an HBCU so TP was playing by default but even when I road tripped to SEC PWIs TP still got play.

Next folks going to be saying Swag Surfing wasn't a hit outside of ATL

No, I literally just dropped the only songs I remember. If their run was supposedly 07-12, I lived in Cali, DC, and philly during that time and they weren't a staple at anything I was at :manny:

I dunno what events you was going to, but in the DMV all their songs made noise

Whoa no way you could have been in DC and not heard Travis Porter. I think 2007 is pretty early for them (I was in high school then so idk, we were still only listening to gogo around that time) But 2010-2012 was when they were getting heavy play in the DMV.

They blew up with around the time Waka did...u don't remember Waffle House?

That's where Deshawn Raw's intro/outro's to his videos came from? :ohhh: (like I said we weren't that heavy into Travis Porter outside of the party cuts and the only tape of there's I really listened to was Differenter 3)

Like I keep saying, seems like they were big if y'all were in school. I graduated college in 06, I was squarely in the club circuit in 07-12 and the only songs that got play was the three you dropped. TP ain't even a blip on the "staple music" radar

This explains everything. I barely started hs in 06. How the heck you going understand what the kickback, house party, young club scene is like. That's like me fukking with Lil yachty. I can't get down with that new shyt, but I can recognize he has a following with young peeps....

Ya'll playing the early early Travis Porter shyt, I never heard of. The shyt at our parties was Make It Rain, Bring It Back, Ay Ladies

I was just going on a rant a few weeks back about how "Ay Ladies" is probably one of the most perfect dance party songs ever and that every DJ that plays hip-hop should keep it in the mix.

Every time I've seen it played somewhere, regardless of where I am or the make-up of the crowd, it gets people onto the floor and I'm convinced it's because the song has so many good tempos and changes of pace in it.

At any time: You can go fast to the claps. You can go slower and bounce if you want to...and it changes vibes every few bars, so you can get as creative as you want....and it all builds up to a hook gives women no choice but to get sexy.

You can dance with a chick. You can dance in circle. There are vocal parts for the guys AND the ladies.

It's like a dog whistle for ass-shaking. :wow:

Read my posts nikka, I wasn't in college during those years - maybe they was hot for y'all. I was clubbing during them years, they had 3 songs - every single other track y'all dropped in here I never heard and I'm heavy into music.

Swag surfing was a huge hit, but if you made a thread acting like that group had next I'd have the same input, they had one hot song and no one gives a fukk about/remembers the group behind it

You had to be in the 45+ clubs because TP were being played in all the Strip Clubs which have similar playlists to "clubs" being that Strip Clubs began to replace regular clubs regarding popularity.

Graduating College in 06 aint really excuse unless he went to a PWI because if he went to an HBCU he would be hearing TP at homecoming events.

what? TP ain't current, I was still partying hard during their "run". And that just makes the point of them not being comparable to migos - migos gets play at all the functions I'm at all the way down to the kids. Lol @ TP being hot for 2 years with one set of college kids then asking if migos ended TP's career - nah, they were never on like that.

TP had a run from 07- to 2012 maybe 201, thats 5-6 years.

TP made Party Music, Migos dont.

So it seems the root cause is the parties you went to were trash
