I'm sure Kevin McHale would be smart enough to adjust his system and allow Rondo to call the plays...

You don't understand bro this is Harden and Howard's show. Beverley can do what Rondo does on defense and his outside shot is better than Rondo's. Bev might not have the playmaking ability or the handle but he fits with the Rockets better and I'm sure that's why the trade wasn't made.

If Rondo could thrive with KG, Pierce, and Judas throughout his tenure in Boston, then I'm sure he can with Harden and Howard.

He can drive even in half-court sets. And if dude gets his way on offense, the team would be a fast-break team.

What? How are you this super stan of Rondo but claim he wants to run a fast break style? He spent years basically slowing it down and pounding the ball in the half court. Thats the exact reason why Boston went on the run they did because Stevens was allowed to run his motion offense and not have Rondo hold the ball half the shot clock

He's better than Patrick Beverly :sas2:

Everybody is better than Patrick Beverley though :manny:

Rondo is still a bad fit in Houston. He can't shoot the 3 like that team wants, takes the ball out of Hardens hands, & is another shytty FT shooter on a team that doesn't need anymore of those.

In closing, fukk Patrick Beverley :birdman:

He needs guys like KG and pierce to motivate him properly.
Dirk is too nice, Monta has his own stuff and the Chandlers don't have enough clout

Plus just plain basketball-wise, since he can't shoot it's hard to find the right team for him the way the league is nowadays. Pace and Space
He needs other men to motivate him in the playoffs:what:

Rondo didn't quit, he was never given a fair shake by Carlisle...

It's funny how the media is blaming all of Dallas problems on Rondo...

Rondo wasn't on their team last year...didn't they go out in the 1st round?

Rondo wasn't on their team the year before that...did they even make the playoffs?

Nobody talking about how Parsons knee injury is serious one minute, not serious the next minute...seems to only be serious when he has to play against houston...

Nobody talking about Dirk's atrocious defense...he is literally playing the worst defense I have ever seen anybody play in professional basketball in my life...he is playing 10 times worse than James Harden played last year...San Antonio dusted Dallas off last year by just running a simple pick and roll with manu and splitter and dirk was to fukking sorry, slow, and stupid to understand how to properly defend it...Houston is dusting Dallas off by just running a pick and roll with Josh Smith and Dwight Howard and Dirk is to sorry, slow, and stupid to understand the simple concept of "make Osh Smith shoot the ball"...

Nobody talking about how Cuban has just built a horrible team...pairing a point guard who can't shoot with a big who can't defend and then having at least 1 of them on the floor for around 40 out of 48 minutes...trading for Tyson Chandler and bringing along some of the players he was trying to get away from when he was in New York...

Nobody talking about how Monta can't wait to get out of there because every time he has a bad game the dallas media never stops talking about it and every time Parsons has a bad game they never start talking about it...

The team is not very good...Cuban has been laughably bad at building this team post championship...Dirk is rapidly turning into the worst defender of all time...

Rondo wasn't even on the floor when Smith and Howard unleashed alley-oopmegeddon on Dirks head...

The fact that Smith and Howard are outsmarting Dirk tells you all you need to know about this series and this team...

Going right back to the 30 wins a year days when Chandler, Monta, and Rondo leaves...

Watch Cuban dumbass trade whatever draft picks he has for Roy Hibbert the first chance he gets...

:mjpls:Bench Rondo for playing poorly but leave Dirk on the floor to get NBA Jam tournament editioned on huh :mjpls:

Nobody bringing up Dirk shooting under 40% AGAIN in a playoff game huh :mjpls:

You got a coach who won a title calling all the plays and you got a point guard who won a title calling all his own shots on the floor...how else was this ever going to end:yeah ok:
So much nonsense in this post - but the bold is flat-out wrong - Rondo didn't win a title calling his own shots on the floor. He was a passenger on that championship team, and they would've won a title with pretty much every other starting PG in the league in replace of him.

Let Rondo call plays.

2010 - 18th best offense
2011 - 27th ranked offense
2012 - 24th ranked offense

LMAO Dallas was the best offense in the league before Rondo came around.

Teams constantly disrespect Rondo and give him a cushion so big that he might as well be Ben Wallace lmao.

You're bringing up defensive stats but realizing that ALL OF Rondo's offensive stats are subpar. ALL OF THEM.

Yet the Cs still made the playoffs (and progressed deeply) in each of those years largely because of Rondo.

After a certain point, metrics are pointless

Those Boston squads had good offenses I dont give a fukk what a stat says. Rondo led those boys and got everyone their touches in their desired spots. I mean you're talking about Pierce, KG, Allen...
3 players with vastly different games
. RONDO made a system out of that good enough to win a ring and contend for years.

Revisionist history if you think he was calling shots for that team. He was along for the ride. Pierce, KG and Allen were so dominant that season that you could have put two bums in the starting lineup (Rondo wasn't too far off being one) and they'd still win a title.
