Did Suge Knight really know anything about making music or producing?

When I see producer and owner of Death Row I always looked at him and wondered if this nikka knew anything about how to produce. I know Puff doesn't play instruments but I do know that he understands how to put songs together and make a record sound good. I just don't see Suge giving that direction and listening that closely. Any brehs able to shed some light on this?

I think he knew about the streets and he learned about the music industry so he was able to marry the 2 in a way that was lucrative.

Doubt he was ever on the boards touching knobs but he had dre, daz, quik for that. He was out there grabbing up talent and shaking nikkas down and shyt to push the brand
