The Cavs with LeBron have always been about finding an open three, only difference now is that they are shooting and making them at a higher clip.
With that said, I find it impossible to analyze this Cavs squad because their competition simply hasn't been up to the task of pushing them: the Pistons, no matter how formidable, would always lose because of hack-a-Drummond and the Hawks, a supposedly good team on defense, played the most atrocious D I've seen in a playoff series (have two and three guys close out the shooter brehs).
And even looking ahead the Heat don't have the offense to keep up with the Cavs nor the bigs to dominate the paint. The Raptors have shown nothing to suggest that they can compete with the Cavs as they seem to win in spite of themselves.
