I believe it was the WWE who wanted that bullshyt 50/50 reaction which is why he had to let up and allow Cena to have the upper hand on those promos. Rock would have had Cena booed out of damn near every Arena which would force their hand to turn him heel

Didn't it take them nearly 2 weeks to deal with the issues they got today? And didn't that NXT Arrival have issues already? Compare that to Mania night where the Network might shut the fukk down...they're gonna get torn to shreds on their precious Twitter line if shyt goes awry. lol. Can't wait

I hope those excuses carry you through if you are watching Mania on your Network deal. I suspect it will have problems though if they can't even get through a damn NXT Arrival kick off. Hundredes of thousands is a whole different story than some cute little cult fanbase checking out a new show.

the way i see it 9/10 things were always going to be slanted in punk/cena's favour for the simple fact for 1 they grew up watching rock. 2ndly they are active E members rock has his own thing u cant just pick up Mcing like it not a thing u need to be doing that shyt consistently.And 3rdly it means way more to them deep down they are like "woah i am doing a program with the rock cant bring anything less than my A game or I will look like a chump for the rest of my career". Rock has already had his career those comebacks were largely to do with polishing his ego and getting the universe to peep his flicks

The wrist note bit was one of the stupidest things i'd ever seen, this man has gone toe 2 toe with Austin, Foley, Jericho, HHH & Hogan but he's overwhelmed when it comes to Cena? It was clear he was held back because Cena couldn't damage Rock but Rock could damage him severely, Rock's words are still just as powerful as ever and there's no better example than seeing Cena getting checks from Post cereal. Also the people saying Rock's schtick became corny are the same ones praising Punk's tired "shoot" promos, and you can tell they're Punk fans because they never used the word schtick until Punk said it.

yeah this promo was dope when it dropped....but it was never used by WWE. So it's likeRock did it to prove a point.....then the next week on TV he was back to "cookiepuss" and other corny stuff.

So I think he was held promo-wise, but in the ring he sucked on his own.
