It’s not just about numbers. He was sold as the next LeBron. A can’t miss superstar.

Dare I say, this is because the NBA rigged the draft so the Pelicans could replace Anthony Davis. Zion got that small market cloud hanging over his head.

As great as KD was, he still left OKC. Where i you play matters, unless you create your own buzz. He’s not really doing that :manny:

hold on who said he was the next LeBron?! :mjlol:

And whoever thought it was a good idea to pair Bledsoe next to Ball needs to get fired ASAP

He was drawing ratings and engagement when he played last year. Then the pandemic hit and the momentum hit a brick wall. The way we treated him in the bubble did no favors.

This year I think he's been fine. However he has a lot to work on. And he's not delivering those "flash" plays consistently that the casuals clamor for.

With that said, the hyperbole here about him is funny. But soon as we drafted him I knew he'd have a magnifying glass on him and that a portion of people would pick his every thing apart so I was ready for it.

Yes? It's not his fault whatsoever that they're losing. How many 20 year olds in history have led winning teams?

Not everyone can be a Jayson Tatum. :wow:

saying it’s not his fault whatsoever is overstating the point a bit...defensively he’s been objectively horrible and that certainly has played a part in the Pel’s struggles...but yeah, he’s 20 years old and not even 40 games into his nba career... he has ample room and time for improvement lol

He’s actually a way more efficient player than I ever thought he would be. Problem is that people are looking for the next bron or even a luka type impact from Zion. Dude unfortunately don’t get the touches or have the type of game where u want him running the whole offense. The pels spread the ball very well, and Zion plays in unison with his team and scores when needed.... I will say that someone’s definitely gotten in his head about jumping so high all the damn time. He clearly is coasting athletically speaking. Most likel only going 75%.

outside of a few big dunks, seems like Zion has been playing more below the rim this season which I think is smart for his overall health
he still has that quick first step and that second jump
but the Pels are not fun to watch, weird mix of players, Zion and Ingram don't work well together
Pels are fun to watch wether excitement from Zion or Brandon Ingram TF hes damn near a Kevin Durant level in 2-3 years if his game improves easily
