Yes. As an officer you don't get to police based on what you believe and don't believe. Although that does happen, now with body cam's and mics you don't get to turn on and off at your discretion.

What if this fool decides to cover his mic and say something or do something like threaten or harm someone.

You don't get to do that. Sorry breh, ups is hiring. It ain't even a high level offense he can change cities and apply at another department.

The only time shyt happens is when the wrong person gets pulled over. I think it was in KC they had this notorious speed trap where they'd make up shyt to ticket people (crossing the white line, etc.). Wasn't until they pulled over some state rep that they wrote a law to stop it.
