But something like a reputation is something that's widely decided, so for you to say it hurt his rep, like you so stupidly did, that opinion should probably be widely accepted.

Based on what metric, exactly? The nikkas in your neighborhood? This isn't high school. And if you are living in Atlanta or in the south in general, the concensus may be a bit different. I can't even call it revisionist history, cuz as long as I've been posting on SOHH/Coli people have been trying to shyt on TI and big up Ludacris as the best rapper out of Atlanta.

And I've been telling them every since that Ludacris has been a pop rapper since 2002. Like he fell off after Area Codes when I was still in high school. Yes he's talented and can rap his ass off if he wants to but he wasn't credible...

Although tip had crazy momentum at the time, luda still put dents in the armor that wouldn't be felt until years later. Remember ti was super thugging at the time and no one was checking him. Finessed flip out the game, was taking shots at an upcoming lil wayne, old atl, and engaged in covert beef with rick ross

Luda of all people called him out on some emcee and street shyt and tip did nathan. The damage points really took affect when a real street dude named shawty lo went at him.

Tip didn't want it with Luda which was smart. Luda was a cartoon character who even if he lost the battle, could still sell records cause he mainly sold to women and kids who wouldn't care about the fact he lost a battle.

Tip on the other hand, had a lot to lose. Given his trap image, if he lost to Luda, it might have be over for him.

I noticed he didn't want to engage Ross either. I guess he like easy targets like Flip and Shawty Lo where he is guaranteed to win.
