Thats like some big advertisement right there with radio play and everything?

Anyone know if Jay was paid to make this song?

I don't want to think Sean Carter is that stupid.

Yeah, Tom Ford paying that nikka like Gucci pays Gucci mane

TF already was the elite of the fashion elites, if anything his brand was hurt by him

Why would it hurt? Get research reports on luxury brands. You will notice one theme when it comes to growth (=profits): ASPIRATIONAL CONSUMERS. A lot of them listen to Urban music.

Tom Ford not struggling for cash, it kind of hurt his image because he was untouched by "urban hip hop ******s" now tom ford being name dropped in every rap song, never heard his name out of a rapper mouth till recently

Smart dumb nikkas like Public Enemies strike again :snoop:

"Who would not be flattered to have an entire Jay-Z track named after them? I mean, come on, it's pretty rare that something like that happens," Ford told WWD. "It's a kind of validation of one's work, as it means that one has really penetrated and made an impact on popular culture."

And his favorite part of the song? The chorus, of course.

"My favorite line is ‘I don't pop Molly, I rock Tom Ford.' I love that he gets a ‘high' from my clothes. I have been dressing him for years now, and I have to say I think he looks great in my clothes," the designer says. "[He] is one of our biggest customers. He let me know about this quite a while ago."

Song is kind of played out now though :manny: Definitely better than that original hook Timbaland had in mind though

It wouldnt make any sense for him to pay him because the average Jay-Z fan can't afford to rock Tom Ford...

This reminds me of the absurd notion that Jay-Z killed 4.0 Range Rovers...Like the average bummy n1gga listening to Vol. 1 cassettes on the subway had the means to turn their nose down at a $50,000 vehicle and be like "Naw my man, me and my peoples only rock with them fully loaded 4.6's" :smugfavre:

If you've made it to a place in life where you can afford a new Range Rover at sticker price, you're probably smart enough not to take advice from rappers on serious life decisions...

The same applies to Tom Ford suits...

Jay-Z has been doing product placements in his raps and videos for a long long time. yall aint aknowledged this yet? its funny the same dudes who love jigga for his marketing as a business man dont understand what this actually means. I doubt Tom Ford gave him a cent up front, i do think down the road this will lead to a relationship that benefits jigga...
