Did ya'll ever get made fun of for listening to "white" music?

Growing up I loved hip-hop, but I also listened to alot of Alt. Rock like The Strokes, Blink 182, Norma Jean etc. The one time My fam hear some music on my computer they hit me with the "what is this white shyt"
Anybody else had that problem wither it be from fam or friends?

yes all the time. though i ignore it. i feel sorry for people who only listen to one type of music. shyt is sad for real. i tell u who be hating the most though is black women. i use to date this girl and i couldnt play any non-hip hop/r&b around her ass or she would start talking bout "why you listening to white boy music?"

i still do. but my friends don't call it white people music. they just be like "what is this shyt u listening to???" and i be like "nikka - i can't listen to the same shyt like you everyday, shut the fukk up"

some friends fukk with it when they hear it too. all depends on the mindset i guess

I used to all the time. People only do it behind closed doors now because they fear my wraith. But then... and this is something I'll never forget.... when I was in school, people thought Wu-tang, OutKast and Redman were "white folks music".

At work last night this woman DID sneak up and catch me singing I.G.Y. off the album in my avi. She thought it was funny.

My mom always had an eclectic collection of records, so I never got the from her, but the rest of my fam that didn't live in our house hate that shyt whenever they came over
