Depends on what people consider “getting over”. I don’t even know how someone can get over someone they claim to love meaning completely forget about them so that’s never going to happen for me but I wouldn’t take her back if I had the chance. Being one of the very rare dudes that actually want monogamy and take relationships seriously I don’t have time to waste on most women. She'll never find a dude better and more loyal than me so her loss at the end.
It changed my perspective but I’m never going to turn into one of the many people that have given up on love and embrace being single for the rest of their life. Far too depressing and defeatist for me, lamest of the lame. I’m open to falling in love again but I'm more patient and controlling of my emotional feelings toward them now since most women can't really handle a loyal dude.

Didn't have a first love in my youth, just first crush or infatuations. Looking back, they weren't even that hot.I used to subconsciously compare every chick to her which wasn’t good for most of my relationships but, then I met another woman who made me feel that level of connection again so I knew it was possible to find what I was looking for with someone else but the first chick still pops in my head from time to time. I had a dream about her recently and shyt fukked my head up
Later I replaced them, mentally, with pron, like playboy, penthouse, hustler. It was my outlet and control, which is a reason for my pron addiction.
