No it's not a "tag" as in it's only his thing. But it is a signature of his style. But he doesn't always do it, I didn't notice til a few years ago when it was pointed out on a thread here, And I own physical copies of both clipse albums and all the NERD albums, and seen them live twice.

It's crazy how I never noticed til someone pointed it out tho.

Actually, he was always sneaking it in when he was ghost producing for Teddy Riley in the early 90's

This is one of my all time Favorite remixes and has to be the first time he did it on a single, reading this thread it popped into my head.
Imagine my face when I hit play
P's names nowhere in the credits, even tho it's clearly him on the "S ..double U to the V" adlib, and he put his sig on the beat.

But it doesn't. I produce breh I know what I'm talking about. There's a difference breh, it's subtle but it's there.
