so because you were treated like an adult?
Yeah bro
Show and prove
I never had bedtimes growing up.. When you fell asleep, that’s your bedtime. But I also didn’t have nobody waking me up to go to school...So if I’m going to sleep at crazy hours, I got less time in the day. Fast forward 2018, I work in an office where I need to be out the door by 6 every morning.
The vaaaaaast majority of people my age at our firm complain that this is their first job out of college and they hate waking up this early...These are people who grew up arbitrarily being told to go to bed at 9 and when that invisible hand went away (they grew up), they no longer felt compelled to do so, and found other distractions that fukked with their sleep patterns, this plays into their work performance.
Little shyt like that I think makes a big difference.
Don’t get me wrong, I fell into street shyt and spent most of my 20s and late teens in prison for reasons that I would ALSO attribute to the way I was raised, but I think that’s when you hit the ‘personal accountability’ wall.
