Did you make it through the entire weekend without ordering fast food or delivery?

I spent most of the weekend cooking food for a hundred people for our Fresno State tailgate. I barely eat at the tailgates because I'm sick of food by the time I'm done cooking. On Sundays I just want to eat junk, so I went and got me a slice of NY pizza after the Bears won their 8th game.

Break that down, cause that sounds like work you should be getting paid handsomely for.

I make a bowl of spaghetti, and that's like 3 sinks full of dishes.

Tmobile Tuesday had a free 6 piece wing special at Popeyes
By combining the Tmobile Tuesday deal with my app rewards and Popeyes current deals I got 6 piece wings, a 3piece spicy chicken pack, 2 biscuits, and a order of fries for $5 :yeshrug:
What? I thought T Mobile just had like...free movie tickets.
man I gotta start paying attention to these benefits, LOL

It's our tailgate that we host, so I'm doing it because I enjoy it. It's only 6 games a year, but you're right it is a lot of work. This week was hard because we had back to back home games, so the quick turn around made it difficult. I usually try to change the menu up based on who Fresno State is playing. For example when we played Southern earlier this year I made Southern food(gumbo, jambalaya, greens...), San Diego State got a healthy meal with grilled chicken and veggies, for Hispanic Heritage night we had Birria and Chile Verde, and this weekend the theme for the game was Belt and Buckles so we smoked different meats(brisket, tri tip, chicken, hot links...). We have a big lot and always have a DJ. All the other corporate tailgates look nicer then ours but we always have the most fun. People show up and hangout around ours because of the energy we give off. We do have a couple games catered by others and that usually runs about $1500 to feed the amount of people I feed. I have a culinary degree so it's something I enjoy but not something I make a living off. I do this for fun. I'm a chemical engineer and that's the job that pays the bills. If I ever get laid off or leave my current job I would take on cooking full time.

The hardest part is everyone wants to offer me shots all day since it's our tailgate. People buy me expensive bottles of liquor all the time that I can't even drink. I get there at 10 AM and don't leave till 10 PM. I can't be drinking shots all day, cook, and put everything away at the end, but sometimes I try.

I made lasagna Thursday. Best one I ever made.

Made wings Friday.

Ordered $50 worth of Ethiopian food which was like 3 separate meals

I ate good:blessed:
You know what's insane to me?
How are chicken wings these days MORE EXPENSIVE than chicken breast?

:what:

Go check that out next time you're at Costco or Sam's Club or a supermarket
Chicken breast will routinely be on sale for like $1.99/lb but chicken wings will easily be like $4/lb

You are 100% correct. A pack of wings running me like $18 bucks. That gives me like 28 drums n flats. shyt used to be like $11.

I usually break them down and clean them, then separate them in the freezer for later use. 8pc, 10pc, 12pc etc.

The only cut that stays cheap are chicken drumsticks

I was the same for years until someone I know sent me a wingstop deal Tmobile had a couple months ago :russ:
Not sure if it's a glitch or normal but the free 6 wing deal was still apply-able in the app after I already used it once, might have to run that back this week

I left town today so i was trying to eat food in the fridge before I left.
I had a trash Sam's club fr0zen pizza on Saturday, thats been in there for like a month. I went out, there was a food truck there. I didn't get nothing and went back home to that trash pizza 🄲
Sunday I went to see my friend cuz his bday is In a few days but I am out of town. I brought him a key lime pie and had a slice but that's not fast food. He has children so Unfortunately that means there was a lot of trash food consumed like Capri suns and goldfish and fn pigs in a blanket. I feel sorry for some kids with the food they eat
