Did your Christmas Tree ever feel creepy?

Growing up as a wee lad, we’d always get cut live/real trees for Christmas.
Often when walking by the tree late at night...I could “feel” the presence of the tree. As if it was alive, sentient...aware of my presence. I could smell its sadness and anger. shyt was spooky. It was like the tree was plotting to kill me, to exact its revenge for being cut down and taken away from its brethren.
Anyone else ever felt this way?
