Not really. As long as I made at least C's and B's, they were cool.

No.

My dad required that I make all A’s, but he didn’t require me to study. I knew the consequences if I made lower than an A. I didn’t have to, as it all came natural to me, and topics such as math was easy. Not knowing how to study did hurt me in college, however. Only subject I spent significant time on as a child was history. It’s my favorite subject, and I “studied” for it.

Yes, I was trash at math and algebra my dad made me go to summer school, tutor, flash cards etc. , I'm decent now, not an engineer but actually ended up using alot of the stuff in different hobbies:pachaha:

Crazy thing is I use to only play with GI Joes and army men and was heavy into WW2 history as a kid, like I use to watch war documentaries instead of cartoons. My parents didn't realize that it had an effect until I ended up in all AP history courses in high school, I didn't pursue history in college though cause I thought the only thing you could do was be a history teacher:snoop:

I would get in trouble for challenging teachers all the time too cause I'd read the same historical event from both or more sides and play devil's advocate:demonic:

Not really actually...

I got by with above average grades, just by absorbing shyt in the classroom.

However, I could have done much better in school and gotten more scholarships had I actually had good study habits. shyt isn't even hard.

Lesson learned.

Teaching my kids great study habits from day one.

No. Parents were dropouts but wanted me to graduate....and, oh, look presentable.

Had to drive/ push myself for 99% of the time.:wow:

If I could do it all over again....:wow:

Maybe when I was in elementary school but since then we literally didnt have to talk about it. I always got honor roll, joined science olympiad/ chess club, took ap class on my own.

My parents were good in some respects when it came to education but bad in other ways that sabotaged my progress. For example They scrimped and saved to send me to a private school they couldn’t afford but used to put a lot of barriers in my way to make it harder than it needed to be.

No.

But I still ended up going to university and graduating with a decent-good GPA. I could've gone to law school, too, if I hadn't become severely depressed during my junior year.

Sometimes i wonder where I'd be if only I'd sought treatment for my depression and ADHD. Oh well...:yeshrug:
