Laws such as statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor are put in place because kids/teens can make terrible decisions. But adults shouldn’t be egging them on and participating with them.

I have no issue with this at all.

Now let’s expand this idea. There are similar laws put in place to prohibit minors from alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs and firearms - but teenagers are still out here not only having access to those, but pursuing them. So it doesn’t make sense to say those pursuing said things don’t have any culpability also.

And if your 16 year old daughter is seeking “guidance” from a 30 year old man you have failed her as a father. Because the 30 year old men lining up for their turn are not offering any safety, guidance, or protection. They’re looking to take advantage of a path of least resistance and minimal expectations.

I don’t know if you’re being glib or not with “guidance”, so let’s be more precise.

If a 16 year old girl is desiring sex from a man that is natural…but if males of ANY age are “lining up for their turn” because they ascertain she is “a path of least resistance“, then yes her father has failed. But there are levels between what I said and what you said.

Correct on all points. I think she randomly met Aaron Hall and got with Luke later.

Because of her story we cant defnitely state how much was bad parenting and grooming by Aaron and what was personal poor decision making on her part.
