I see his point but as opposed to just buying something or supporting because its black owned or a black artist, we should support the stuff we love. It's the same way as the movie business: if you want a certain type of movie to succeed, then you need to actually spend money to see it. If we aren't supporting the stuff we think is dope, whether we're buying the albums or seeing the shows or buying merch, then it won't last, plain and simple. Even if you're thinking that they can go underground and "be their own boss" or "be independent" they still need your support in one way or another, if not more than before.
