his verse on future's remix was like :blessed:

but still bruh. diddy aint been a rapper since he was puffy. lets be real. :what:

i think to be considered a "rapper" most of your income should be coming from your rap career. diddy probably has to PAY other dudes to get on their features so he can advertise for his ciroc and brands.
You think anyone is going to make the money these dudes are making just off of rap? 50 sold 10 mill of GRDOT and it probably doesn't even account for half of the money he actually has. Hell Dre probably made more money off of the Beats then he did his entire career of rapping, producing, and finding talent :skip:

You're right for the most part...50 and Em have made Dre millions but the Beats deal has put $100M+ in his pocket.

The Passage of Time
Forbes is the most trusted and they live on their reputation, but they also rely on short term memory. After doing a little research a couple of years ago, I stopped believing in anything they put out. It is a guestimate.

I will Use 50 as an example simple because they keep him at 110million for 3 years in a row.

This is Forbes from 2007-2011 50 cent 216million
2. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, $216 million - Zack O'Malley Greenburg The Beat Report - Forbes

Forbes in 2005 50 cent 79mil

According to Forbes Magazine's , 50 Cent Made $79Million $ in 2005

2004 50mil for 50 cent

2008 150mil

Now you tell me is Forbes for real?

Dre was collabing with Kendrick this year that's rapping.

Diddy had some verses this year

Birdman had some verses this year

Jay had verses this year

50 dropped a mixtape

How are these guys not rappers :what:

If some bum from chicago with a hoodie gets called a rapper, these 5 are definitely rappers.

Good post. Although I :salute: every time I see brothas/sistas making money, a lot of celebrities(like Beyonce, Snoop, even Puff), and even billionaires have denounced the forbes list as bullshyt :manny:

did the nikka appear on tracks, spit verses, release albums, and do everything else rappers do? dude had a verse this year. Can't exclude him from the list no matter how you slice it :umad:
oh, so Shaq could have been considered a rapper?

Hell nah breh, he was a ball player who made rap music. But he still weren't no damn rapper.

Diddy the same. He's a powerful mogul who makes music but he's no rapper.

I don't even give a fukk if you have a ghostwriter. You can still be a rapper (Will Smith)

But Diddy don't count as shyt.

ciroc makes more money than them dr dre headphones???

:leon:
Originally no, but you have to look at the facts:

- Several other people got headphone deals this past year (50, Luda, etc.)

- A lot more people can afford a $30 bottle vs. $150/300 pair of headphones

- No matter how bad the economy is, what's going on in the world or with someone personally, people will always drink.

- The sex, alcohol and drug business are some of, if not the most, recession/depression proof businesses.
