like Jordan?

and Jordan only got that franchise in a fire sale cause of Bob Johnson losing hundreds of millions trying to run that Charlotte Franchise.....and even now, Jordan's currently losing tens of millions owning it.

people forget the terms of which Jordan got his franchise, they read "Jordan Buys Bobcats" and saw nothing more than that.

own= you are the majority stakeholder.

and outside of Oprah, what black Americans can own an NFL franchise?

there is no range of Black Americans that can afford it, there is Oprah..and only Oprah.

Robert Johnson, Michael Lee-Chin, Tiger Woods, Magic Johnson, Don Peebles, Quintin Primo III all have enough a net-worth that hints at their ability to be majority holder by stock-to-stock mergers, tender offers, or with bank loans.

did you see what happened to Bob Johnson by buying an NBA Franchise?

and none of who you mentioned have enough wealth to be a majority shareholder for an NFL Franchise...you're not gonna be a majority owner in the NFL unless you're a billionaire, extremely close to being a billionaire... or you inherited a franchise like Mark Davis did.

do you know how much NFL franchises are worth breh?

What you fail to understand is that many owners became billionaires after they purchased the team.

and what you're forgetting is that it's 2014, that's not happening anymore.

the reason why they became billionaires after they purchased the team, is because they bought the teams 30-60 years ago...before the NFL was a league of Billionaires :heh:

.and that owners within the last 15 years ( Khan,Blank, Wilf,Haslam,Kroenke,Allen, Snyder,McNair) were all billionaires (some a few times over)....BEFORE purchasing franchises.

No, the reason they become billionaires is because the value of their team becomes a part of their net worth.

How much ready cash do you think a person needs to have to buy one of these teams?

Nah, if we ever see a black NFL owner, he won't be from America.

maybe

but a Black billionaire from Nigeria or South Africa is more likely to buy a soccer (world football) team (club). A lot of them already own soccer clubs.

dude just might be a nfl owner one day

Diddy talked about that on Letterman, a year or two ago.

I think if u Black American bros want to buy a pro sports team you should put together some type of consortium together pooling your wealth and then purchasing one in a predominantly Black city.

This. He can get a MLS team or a low tier MLB team. And even then, he'd have to get some partners because acquiring a big league team would wipe his ass out since his assets aren't 100% liquid

He or any other Black man better move on it quick because expansion is heating up and the expansion fees are gonna only increase.
