So if you get raped either report it ASAP or just its in the past? A lot of people speak like they dont understand how being raped can affect you...like they dont know anyone that has been raped. A woman is more likely to not report a rape than she is to make a false claim. People of all levels of moral character get raped.

Yes, report it asap if you want justice and your rapist off the street. If you don't care about that or just want a check then continue to not go to the police and file a lawsuit 20 years later that most likely you will loose due the time and lack of evidence.
