After Pac and Biggie died he focused on shiny suits and pivoted away from gangsta rap to soften his image. After the shyne shyt he was gonna do a gospel album and started appearing on tv more and did reality tv shows with MTV and talk show appearances to soften his image.
When shyt goes down for him he pivotes and tries to soften his image.
You keep narrowing it down to the ONE person who came forward with legal action related to SA. Beyond the 10 years with Cassie was another 20 before that’s littered with all sorts of claims related to his special brand of scumbaggery. Starting with 9 wrongful deaths at City College.
It’s way bigger than Cassie. It’s somebody who knows he been living foul from day one. That’s a nikka who been lookin over his shoulders for almost thirty years, always peeping around the corner for karma, trying to stay one step ahead. But it ALWAYS catch up

Bill Cosby went to jail, mainly because he settled previous lawsuits. More importantly there was a deposition. And the DA used what he said in that deposition against him. Of course it's also the reason why he was subsequently release because it wasn't supposed to be used. But it went from he said she said, he him actually admitted to some of the accusation's.
Combs was going to have to do a deposition. There was going to be a discovery. Even if he settled after that, just having all of that dirt on record would've sank him.
And I imagine, he's going to have to do the same thing with these other law suits. He's going to end up paying millions of dollars and having them sign NDA's to avoid books being published.
BUT, he's not going to be able to payoff everyone. Books are going to get written and sold.
I also think him dating the City Girl as well as messing with other younger women, triggered Cassie. Even though she couldn't sing, he ruined her career. She should've stuck with Ryan Leslie. They probably would've made multiple classics together. Combs ruined his career as well.

I used to be more skeptical of things, but the more I read into fame and Hollywood, I'm getting more Occam's razor on people. A lot of these appearances are just to corroborate character and public perception if and when they go to trial.
A lot of these mothafukkas are just weird. Fame will do that to you. And some hide it better than others.
And this is not to say either one of them is guilty of everything they're accused of, but there's enough a preponderance of evidence to find some level of guilt.
