Beyoncé is objectively an outlier as a person, but a bigger outlier would be somebody of Jay Z’s level of wealth who is single, interested in marrying a woman from a non-elite background, interested in marrying a Black woman and interested in suddenly being in the public eye in a major way by being with one of the biggest celebrities in the World. That’s a big reason that Australian billionaire broke it off with Mariah Carey, he went from being super wealthy and relatively unknown to suddenly dealing with the annoyances of not having privacy anymore. If more of those types of men wanted to be with celebrity women they could just based on their level of wealth but they choose not to. And we would see more highly accomplished celebrity women with those types of men if they had the opportunity.
