Vol 1-3 are trash. Bp 2 and 3 are trash. Them r kelly duos are trash. That lp album was trash. Kingdome come was trash. Mchg is trash.

you see, how can we take anyone's criticisms of MCHG serioulsy when y’all also shyt on BP2. Do you know how many classic bars, moments, songs are on BP2? again, the intellectuals aka critics gave it poor reviews, and so thats how the album is remebered. i got news for you brehs, critics misjudge shyt all the time. Scarface, Godfather 2, Blade Runner, The King Of Comedy, 2001 A Space Oddysey, these classics were shytted on by the smarty pants brehs of their time, but look how history remembers these movies? they are all in the cannon.

same with music, dont wanna go through it all again but the people writing about hip hop professionally have never been trustworthy to me, damn near every early 90’s classic that wasnt “alternative” was shytted on. BP 2 is a weak album overall. Not cause of a critic. Its cause its how people genuinly felt. It was too long. Shoulda been a single disc condensed to the songs u mentioned plus like a couple others. But instead the nikka decided to make it a double disc and it had alotta mediocre shyt on it. It had no direction either. If people can shyt on SD for these reasons. BP2 is fair game.

Though I greatly disagree with "it stunk" — the boldest part is 100 percent true. MCHG release truly felt like an event. Announced during a commercial in the NBA Finals; more television commercials in two weeks leading up to album; no leak; Funk Flex being the first person to play the album for the public; obviously the music itself rolled out the red carpet in terms of guests and the packaging was something crazy.

And it all paid off: Album is certified double platinum, multiple top hits, and at one point every single song was in the Billboard Hot 100 in hip-hop.

I'd love to see another artist get that kind of commercial backing to get the hype engine at an all-time high again.
