you just said, TODAY that carson palmer is awful

I DARE your qb-kissing ass to try to state AZ isnt a good team.

They are ok. Will give you that. But Carson Palmer is the biggest problem with the team.

And whats bad about that? He's a proven commodity. U know he can get u to a SB.

proven what ? 10 out of 16 games last year he had under 200 yards passing and even had a game with 92 yards passing :dead: mafukkas on my facebook saying hes close to being in Rodgers and Brees catagory as elite QB :dahell:

keep in mind im a 49er fan talkin this shyt

he shoulda got 10-15 mil TOPS or we shoulda let him walk.

Bad day for Front2Back, LastEmp and itsyoung!! :skip:

So when Alex Smith gets his 100 million contract does that make him elite now since its the same pay grade as Peyton Manning :sas1:

I meant in general, not just QB or football or basketball.

There's a lot of good players, but not as many elite guys are we're led to believe. Otherwise every team would have at least 1.

:mindblown: thats the point though, average to good players getting ELITE contracts - its just stupid as fukk and we'll be in another lock out sooner than later.

im not saying KAP is BAD, I think he is MEDIOCRE and has some flashes of being good to great. But that doesnt get you paid 21 mil a year (well I guess it does, but it shouldnt, which was the WHOLE POINT OF THE LOCK OUTS JUST RECENTLY)

There's no such thing as eliminating bad contracts when the talent pool is relatively thin
I dont like this line of thinking, its not the NBA. a well put together team with lesser talent will always beat the team that plays only off exceptional talent and nothing else

theres always talent, only few people who know how to fully utilize it to the highest potential. football baseball and soccer are sports where getting the most out of a talent and team building is far more important than individual pure talent.

thats part of the reason qbs are overrated. people really want to see an easy way out where a high-powered passing attack will mask all team-based decencies. it doesnt work like that, never has and never will

the overall talent level in the NBA right now is as bad as I've seen in my lifetime

you cant hide a bad qb to a Super Bowl win anymore. Just because Russell Wilson had a great defense and running game doenst make him any less of a quarterback. Everyone knew if need be he could throw the ball.

you can 'hide' any position if you play team-based game. sure, a garbage qb will be a problem in the playoffs, but so will be a garbage safety or a corner

:wtf:

Theres plenty of cases of great defenses making it to the superbowl or winning it with great defenses and mediocre offenses

If there's only a handful of elite guys, that leaves everyone else fighting over whatever left is good. Supply and demand. You're just witnessing it in sports.
