White people don't like black people, they like seeing the worst of us, that's why the ignorant shyt sells, they love buying it

If we want mainstream music to change, we have to start buying music, going to the shows, and actually supporting the artists that make the content we want to hear

Plenty of artists have tried to change their styles only for it to flop and they end up going back to the ignorant shyt

Us as fans have to ask for balance, we have too many 21s than J Coles and Kendricks

The biggest problem with the music industry is 90% of it is owned by Sony, Warner, and Universal, those are billion dollar conglomerates who have taken control of everything music wise.
I don't know about that because this social media age, we see the power in just masses of e signatures. Like I said if someone/something can force the conversation to where nikkas like Ebro have to really admit to the people, I'm just a fukking machine. I don't care about the results of black people listening to negative shyt. Not just him everybody. And when they can admit that, all of them..then what you still gotta live within the culture. Gotta make a decision and say fukk this sh it.

Raps never going away but we can at least class the genre up a little bit
How?

Im not trying to even shyt on any rappers in particular I'm saying these are public airwaves that I assume taxes pay for?(maybe not) Regardless there is just a difference in the type of energy that gets pumped into the black community via radio compared to the feel good carefree positive vibes of these white stations.

Eh, if e signatures mattered, things would have started changing already

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is money, if you want something to change you have to hurt the pocketbooks.

The reality is... none is that matters in this context. This isn't about who is funding these artists... this is about who this message is affecting most negatively and how we can limit our children's exposure to it. If white people want to be entertained by it, so be it... but that doesn't mean I want it so easily accessible to my children. They can do all the shows they want and make all of the money they desire, but my child shouldn't be able to flip to a radio station and hear song after song about sex and drugs and ignorance, the same way they can't go into a movie theatre and watch a Rated R movie without an adult.

We need some accountability for what we're feeding our children. One second you hear a PSA about stopping the violence in our communities... the next you hear a song about shooting up every nikka on the block.

Is it oochie wally or is it one mic?

People's first amendment rights are there, just because you don't like the content doesn't mean it has to go, it's up to each individual person and parent to regulate what gets played in their car, radio, and house.

And sex, drugs, and ignorance is all over the TV and internet, children are exposed to everything, especially with social media, this radio bullshyt is a pre internet argument, it no longer holds weight and is laughable to try to put any blame on it especially when most people are streaming and downloading music in 2016.

The content on the internet can be way more damaging than anything on the radio.

The other thing is even if you took the shyt off the radio, the children would still be exposed to the shyt talked about in the content, look at the environments some of us live in

The hood aint streamin like that. And your right about the internet but that doesn't mean we cant do shyt about it. It really does start with saying enough is enough, starting a conversation which leads to even bigger converstations. AA image, plays a HUGE ROLE in everything that goes wrong here. We just look like fukkin hypocrits around the board when we just accept our water being poisioned. And then we speak the language of poison in everything we do. I don't see that shyt in any other community but our own. Go turn on a white radio station you will here positive music. Even the breakfast club...gimme a fukkin break might as well have Taxstone or Drink Champs on at 6am its the same content.

nikkas in the hood are streaming and using AUX cords fam, though it's still a few nikkas thats on the radio

And most kids these days have cellphones, nikkas is on datpiff, worldstar, and Youtube listening to music, this is 2016 fam, not 1996

And I've listened to white radio stations, there's hardly any positivity on them

And look at the hot 100

Music: Top 100 Songs | Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Most of the white artists are making pure trash :dahell:

And our water being poisoned is a whole different conversation and we don't accept it so I don't even know why you tried to sneak that in there

:leostare:

The poison is the environments, I live in the worst neighborhood in Chicago and these environments breed monsters

The first things these lil nikkas see is the dope boy on the block with the 87 Caprice on 26s, they see their brothers putting on for the hood, they see their pops chopping dope

These rappers are a product of these shytty environments and if they didn't have to grow up like they did, they wouldn't even be in these positions to make :trash: music

The music is an ugly reflection of the hood
