A lot of people not only in Detroit but all over got approved for mortgages and couldn’t afford it after awhile and walked away and a lot of these property management companies said fukk fixing this up because we not going to find any buyers

I've never seen a neighborhood go down that fast in the South for the nikkas talking. And the roofs give it away. Too angled for the South. We don't build houses for snow melt normally.
Damn I see you Brehlock Holmes :whoo:

Yep, banks refusal to approve mortgages can often do this to neighborhoods. Even if the person who owns the property has enough money to keep it in good conditions, nobody can afford to buy the home from them without a mortgage.

What surprises me is the Gen Z wfh crowd still living with their parents. They make money but not enough to buy a $350k house with 20% down at 7% interest. Take all y’all asses to Detroit and build a new community on the cheap :manny:

In the 2009 pic you can see the house furthest to left (partially cut off in the photo) already has a run down roof.
The house directly to the right of them was also demolished.
You can tell This block was already not in the best condition, despite the attempts to revitalize it (hence the newer homes that probably were built on a previous vacant lot).

But shyt like this is common in Detroit and other parts of the midwest. Whole blocks just vanishing within a decade.

A lot of the blocks I used to be on are barely recognizable these days to be honest..

shyt, the corner house in this link used to be my homegirl shyt, we used to stay at this bytch..look at the difference from 07-11...that's pretty much this whole area on some blocks
