Defense would be Cleveland's problem...

They dont have any remote answer for 2/3 of Golden State's perimeter threat

agreed, but these guys are offensive players and if your shots are falling your defense will be better because you will put out more effort to play, instead of standing in the corner and waiting for lebron's pass so you can shoot it and get him a potential assist.

I feel like it's too late for him, maybe if he was younger. He's at a point where he's not going to listen to a coach anymore.

How many Finals did Spo go to before LeBron went to Miami, how many Finals has he gone to after LeBron left? Half the teams make the playoffs so that isn't saying much that Miami went to the playoffs this year.
Man... Taking a shytty team to the playoffs means he's a good coach. They still have Bosh on payroll so a team with superstars making the playoffs means alot.

Crazy how players get judged so harshly in the NBA but coaches and GM's can get praised for doing the bare minimum.

This whole thread is flawed becuz a "great coach" in the NBA is just a non-black coach who has exceeded expectations at least once in the past...

LeBron’s never played in a real system, maybe he played more off the ball under Spoel (an actual NBA coach) but in Cle he did what he wanted.

Saying this to say I don’t doubt he has the highest bball IQ in the NBA, but he has a lower TEAM basketball IQ than most 6POY candidates.

Your last statement is what I believe to be the case with lebron.
I believe he has a high ball iq as a single lone wing forward.
yet as an actual team basketball iq player.
I don't think anyone ever cultivated that aspect.
seeing as bron was a Catholic school league kid.
he may have lost the state finals.
yet he never had to figure out how to win the state finals as a public school team.
which is a wholely different task than at a Catholic school generally.
imo, bron should go down as the best catholic league to pro prospect in NBA history.

DO you see him successfully being disciplined in a system?

I think bron would be disciplined in a properly staffed roster and coaching system.
that allowed him to not have to wear so many self imposed hats because of lack of resources.

Which is why golden state is the only destination that makes logical sense for what bron favors.

Agreed. Bron has chosen NOT to want to play in a real system. We saw how fast he got the system changed to Bron Ball when he got back to Cleveland. :francis:

Theres a difference between "good" and "great" but some people are too slow to understand
