Yu-Gi-Oh was a pretty good anime and the card game bodied everything on its way. Had tournaments and everything at school where you had to give up your best card if you lost :wow: shyt I'll still pick it up and play it for giggles with childhood friends. Manga is flames

The Pokemon anime and video games were a movement. shyt was crazy. Cards been trash outside of the collection aspect tho. Manga is trash too.

Digimon is defo the underdog. Anime was very solid (season 3 started like it was going to be the GOAT monster anime) and toys that you had to shake and swipe cards in were flames.

The first season of the animé Beyblade was cool but after that :camby:. The toy concept was great but a fad, too unsatisfying.

I have very few memories of Monster Rancher, I don't even remember if they showed it in its entirety, but it was good in my memories. Left no impact whatsoever.

So for me it's Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon tied, then Digimon, then Beyblade and far far below, this other thing

I used to have the beyblade dish and the actual beyblades, my younger brother thought that a bit beast could come out. Them beyblades used to gather the neighborhood kids, the one's you knew and the one's you didn't know. Man seeing my younger relatives lacking social skills is sad they need to create a new gadget or something that involves human interaction.

This is facts, at school we played on manhole covers or anything we could, and at home the big wooden bowl made for the best surface to play on. Screaming on the beyblades to support ours like in a boxing match lol. It was natural to make new friends this way

Those were the times :mjcry:

You really liked season 3 over 1 And 2?

1 and 2 were cool don’t get me wrong (season 1 is a pure classic) but season 3 captivated me more because of its dark and serious undertones (especially after 9/11 happened), the Lovecraft influence, the disturbing scenes especially in the second half of the season, the symbolism, the conversations on life and death, the character designs, the different approach the creators took with the lead character Takato compared to Tai and Davis from seasons 1 and 2, the character development of both Rika and Impmon, the mahfukking GOAT Steve Blum providing the English voice of Yamaki as well as being the writer of most of the English dub episodes, the terrifying and nightmarish design and nature of the D-Reaper, the music was some of the best I’ve ever heard in a kiddie anime show, and the underlying adult themes and moments in Season 3 that I can finally understand now that I’m older. And the animation and graphics...Let’s just say this show was a perfect example of the early 2000’s being “an HD version of the 90’s”. The first two seasons were dope but Season 3 holds a very personal place in my heart breh.

:heh:
I watched him put dem MF's to sleep like a thousand times

Eventually I said fukk it.:yeshrug: Quickest way for me to pass on a show is to be behind:camby:
(Also the reason I was never big into comics(40+/- year story backlog!?!) though my cousin was ...same cousin kept trying to get me onto Pokemon matter a fact)
