We comparing the shows or the franchises as a whole?

Digimon had the best show. Pokemon too kiddish while yu gi oh got too convoluted after a while. No idea what monster hunters is.

The Pokemon games had the streets on fire as a kid though

Have to go with Digimon. Probably have to put Yu-Gi-Oh over Pokemon too. Those games really saved that show tbh.
Monster Rancher my nikka? :mjlol:
Odd show that came before Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh but is a mixture of both.

Yu-Gi-Oh was a pretty good anime and the card game bodied everything on its way. Had tournaments and everything at school where you had to give up your best card if you lost :wow: shyt I'll still pick it up and play it for giggles with childhood friends. Manga is flames

The Pokemon anime and video games were a movement. shyt was crazy. Cards been trash outside of the collection aspect tho. Manga is trash too.

Digimon is defo the underdog. Anime was very solid (season 3 started like it was going to be the GOAT monster anime) and toys that you had to shake and swipe cards in were flames.

The first season of the animé Beyblade was cool but after that :camby:. The toy concept was great but a fad, too unsatisfying.

I have very few memories of Monster Rancher, I don't even remember if they showed it in its entirety, but it was good in my memories. Left no impact whatsoever.

So for me it's Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon tied, then Digimon, then Beyblade and far far below, this other thing
I used to win yugioh tournaments at my local card spot pretty consistently

I had everyone copying my deck builds

I even went pretty deep into a couple regional tournaments

You can't really say because race is never mentioned in the Manga. He has brown skin but it's probably how the author depicts Middle-Eastern looking people. In the manga/anime we see modern Egyptians (aka non-black) and they're depicted with the same tanned skin.
Yeah but the pharoah is from the time period where it was mostly Africans in egypt

Pokemon had the better games
Yu gi oh was conceptually the goat card game and the second best show (fell off a bit towards the end)
Digimon had the better show (s1-4. S5 was ass)
Monster Rancher was dope still but it checks no boxes for me

Pokemon as a cartoon was a waste of time.
