why dont artist and labels figure out ways to release all their catalog as its produced-- at least digititally-- im possitive people will download huge chunk files .. example:

jay z-- he release albums and he has features on other albums-- that continues as is.. him and his label could set up a jay z catalog release that has EVERY OFFICIAL JAY Z TRACK EVER (albums/soundtracks/guest apperence)-- that gets updated after ever jay z album released, not only with the material on said album but whatever guest features he did leadin up to it.

i just feel that labels r leavin money on the table..

discuss--

don't they do this on iTunes? unofficial and unreleased songs are usually that way for a reason.

the thought is nice, and maybe artists could do a discog subscription thing like some labels do for their new releases and maybe release old shyt remastered from the vaults

and if by chance you can license and clear some of your features, this would be a cool marketing tool for the future

i have a ST subscription and they send me some new releases every 5-7 days. i never have time to get through it, but i know theres a nice backlog of music i can download whenever i have time for it

i need to support music more but this 10 bucks a month to ST and the occasional CD is where i'm at right now

EDIT: make it 15-20 a year, get access to the new albums and old albums and old stuff from the vaults. and if you dont put out music regularly, then maybe a discount to shows or hard copy merch like CDs and T-shirts and shyt

this'll probably only work for brehs with deep discogs or new artists like curren$y who never stop working and could probably do a 5 dollar per month subscription for all the fukkin songs he gon put out anyway

this jay Samsung deal made me bump... an artist can make an up that allows a "stream" of all his catalog.. so many possibilities

artist leaving money on the table here

Nah this is a stupid idea fam. They stand to make more of their albums individually not bundled together. Also like stated the licensing for features would be a messy process. Finally it is extremely reckless to digitally package one artists work all together, that is a bootleggers dream and label nightmare. Hence the reason justblaze got heated @ someone for doing a library of a legends series bundle of his discography. Just think about it for a sec breh...
