Oh shiit...I literally just watched that one episode of Black Mirror on Netflix that had this exact premise. The only difference, is there was a chip behind the ear that connected to your eyes somehow. Plus, the user has like an automatic car key device that could connect to a TV and play back.

Worth watching if you haven't seen it.
