Almost all the shoe stores around when I was young have been devoured by other companies.

Eastbay, Champs, Footaction were all merged into Foot Locker who now is owned by Dicks. The Finish Line is owned by JD Sports.

Footlocker hasn't been the same since Nike went to a straight to consumer model.

These retail outlets really aren't needed anymore when people can go straight to Nike or Nike has their own stores.

We saw the same thing happen to computer stores like Comp USA.

Footlocker is mostly in malls and who are going to malls regularly these days? Plus I know their rents are sky high
