I honestly believe the majority of white people feel like we’re their kids, and when we don’t listen to them, they think it goes against nature. So they interpret our grievances as hating them for being white. To them, being white is to be superior, and if we challenge them, we’re the problem. If they disrespect us, and we defend ourselves, that’s us being racist towards them.

I don’t agree with blaming all our problems on them, but to say there isn’t a problem is intellectually dishonest. But it isn’t in their personal best interest to change, so why would they?

And this is Don Lemon’s chance at redemption. This is why we shouldn’t discuss our problems publicly. There are a lot of problems in LOW INCOME black neighborhoods. But that isn’t something you talk about with everyone. This is why I hate the social media activism.
