Dilla's joints on Cuban Linx 2 appreciation thread

Forgot about Fishscale. What's crazy too is Dilla named that beat One For Ghost right after he made the beat.


I slept on Masta Killa so hard over the years. I used to be into more energetic flows and raps when I was young, so to me he was always one of the weaker Wu members. I liked Meth, Rae, Deck, Ghost, and GZA. When I was young I couldn't wait for his verses to be over on Liquid Swords, Linx, and Ironman. I think I gave No Said Date a chance and realized that I definitely slept on him. I went back after that and now his verses on the old Clan albums are some of my favorites.

Glaciers of Ice? Wu Gambinos? Duel of the Iron Mic? Winter Warz? Assassination Day?

I'm more partial to Sonny's Missing but 10 Bricks was definitely a standout.

Def a top 4 beat on the album imo, Pete spazzed. I'm more partial to the Dilla beats though and how they lifted the album, dude had beats especially made for the wu in the stash

Those skits would have really gave it more of a cinematic feel. I hope if they do actually drop a 3rd Cuban Linx that they have more skits, similar to the original.
