There is no bill since the dinner itself is millions of dollars in free advertising. I'm not obsessed by any means, and you can bet if OP said $500k or dinner, I would have picked the 500k. But that's a lot of powerful people on that list. I've made connections that have put me in great positions in life by mingling with powerful people in my company.
