Anybody from NY knows the influence that the Dips had.
They had niccas tryna dress like them (wearing pink, 5XL tees, biker chains, etc) and talking the slang and shyt (nahmean, b, ya dig, no h.o.m.o., u mad, etc). The were also the first rappers to really start that rockstar movement, when every rapper was rapping over rock beats and calling themselves rockstars (ie Party Like A Rockstar)

Wu-Tang dropped classic after classic in the 90s, the "solo" albums were produced by RZA and had guess features from Wu-Tang members and affiliates.
I never liked Dipset, never was a fan of Juelz, Cam'ron, Jim Jones or any of those fools. I always thought their production was mediocre too.
36 Chambers, Tical, OB4CL, Liquid Swords, Forever, Ironman, Forever, Bobby Digital, Supreme Clientele anything Dipset put out.
Wu-Tang had that same lifestyle influence on NY too, they were saying sh*t like nah mean, b, word is bond don't even get me started on the Wu slang. Wu Tang were boosting Cristal, Polo and Tommy Hilfiger, etc. Dipset's influence doesn't touch Wu-Tang's.

You must not understand how far-reaching a term "lifestyle" is.
Did the Dips have defined values regarding politics, religion, health, relationships, etc?
These are the things, along with demographics and occupation, that define a lifestyle.
Dip fans listened to the music and tried to dress like them, that doesn't equal a lifestyle.
