How has Wu-Tang beensince 1998, if Supreme Clientele was dropped in 2000 and is arguably the greatest hip hop album of the 2000s and they dropped their third album The W also in 2000.
Wu-Tang's influence across the board destroys Dipset's. This nig*a really talking about wearing pink polos.
Wu-Tang changed the New York sound at the time, they were one of the founders of the mafioso theme that can be seen in Dipset's music. Nobody was boosting Polo, Tommy Hil, Cristal and Ice jewelry in the 90s like the Wu. You had nikkaz coming to school with toothbrushes and sh*t in they mouth trying to look like Method Man. You had nikkaz braiding their hair Meth and ODB style. These nikkaz had videogames named after them. Wu Tang were the ones talking about "nahamsayin', "nah mean", "b", "god", "word is bond" and a bunch of other slang influenced by the 5%ers not Dipset. Wu-Tang has large influences on production and syndication, they even changed the way record deals were signed and management.

You're right about Puba. Rae and Ghost are up there too they were on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx talking about "Tommy Hil Ice Rockin' nikkaz". They would wear Tommy Hilfiger in music videos, at parties and on tour.
Raekwon even modeled for Tommy Hilfiger.

I know you mentioned Polo - but being more specific, can't forget Raekwon and the infamous Snow Beach jacket. There was an interview with Just Blaze about his polo collection not to long ago (on Complex I believe) where he talks about how influential Rae and Ghost were with fashion and how people would see what they wore in the videos and then run out and try to get it.
But Dipset does have pink polos and no homo.

I never said dipset was better. yall just mad because I said that its open for debate and pointed out that a lot of the points yall are making in favor of wutang are bullchit.
case in point, youre giving a lot of undeserved credit to wutang. tommy & polo were huge before a dam wutang clan

they were great dressers, but the chit they were wearing WAS ALREADY POPPIN before them. how hard is this for yall to understand?
sure, they made more people want to go out and get the gear, and rocked some of the newest chit fresh out the factory but you can say that about every other rapper that rocks chit that's already popular. THATS THE DIFFERENCE. dipset/byrd gang/purple city/skull gang/etc actually set trends. PLENTY OF THEM. that's one war that wutang just cant win.
btw, yes. raekwon, ghostface & CAPPADONNA(don't forget him) dressed extremely well. Pls in 2013, Ghostface and Raekwon still sound better than Juelz and Cam'ron. It's been proven numerous times that you don't know what a rhyme scheme is.
