Gunit would like a word

"Wanksta" wasn't even out when Bout It 3 dropped.

Lowkey , I think Swizz Beatz early production merged that NY & Down South sound since he was one of the first from NY to use no samples in his joints.

One of the first from NY to use no samples? Rick Ruben was all over the 808 drum machines in the 80's? The same 808 kicks that are Trap Musik staples in 2015??

Kind of relevant - a bunch of songs from Dirty South songs were spawned by this joint, made by cats from Queens from a record released in 86...

i remember reading album credits as a kid and constantly seeing this joint credited. Three 6 Mafia in particular flipped elements from this over and over.

Bout it bout it sounds like it's from the south :jbhmm:

I would say that it sounds cali as fukk and Crunk Muzik sounds like dipset shyt, ny shyt.

This came out around the same time as Crunk Muzik and sounded pretty southern, but that would probably be the Jeezy feature.

Imo 50 was the first, he had a southern flow on a lot of songs around 02.

What about 50's beat selection in 02? Wanksta? Problem Child? Realest Nikkas? Realest Killaz
I mean trap beats were not really invented at that time, you had a few Mannie beats, some turnt up 3 6 but that was not really what defined southern.

He had that melody in his flow and how he rode the beat was like a southern dude.
And definitely Wanksta dropped, that could've been some N.O. shyt.
