you all are so annoying every discussion ends in a racial debate
So if a half black/half white person chooses to only identify with their white side you wouldn't have a problem with it?
the thing is, race can't be changed or chosen. you are what you are. why is that so hard to grasp?
ethnic groups have more room and isn't all black and white. if someone is biracial and feels african american or west indian american because they grew up in the culture, the same culture of many of their ancestors, then that person actually has a case.
No. African American and West Indian aren't races.you just repeated what I was saying your last point
as long as they still acknowledge the black ancestry they have than no I wouldn't really have a problem
you just repeated what I was saying your last point

No. African American and West Indian aren't races.
What you and her said were two different things.

her mom is white and the scene of the gif she declared she was a white woman.
my race is black. my ethnicity is african american. if i had jamaican parents it would be. my race is black. my ethnicity is west indian/jamaican american

but race is a cultural aspect also and some multiracial people feel more comfortable identifying themselves with that race in particular

I just don't see the big deal in someone who happens to be half black racially identifying with the minority grouprace affects culture, but that doesn't make it a culture or ethnicity. black people all around the world are going to be different because of cultures.
a mixed race person might feel more in touch with the black culture in this country but move that same mixed person to another country and they might feel more close with the mixed or even non-black culture. then what? are they black in america and mixed or white everywhere else?
i'm black. if i feel more comfortable with white culture then does that make me white? can i claim white?
not all african americans are either, and i clearly said for me
edit: i see you were talking about in general. ignore.
