DALLAS - Steve Nash will option out of the last year of his contract on June 30, seeking to become one of the top-paid point guards in the NBA. The 29-year-old two-time All-Star is scheduled to earn $6 million this season, the seventh-highest salary on the team.

"My goal in opting out would be to re-sign long term with the Mavericks," Nash said Thursday night. "So that's the plan."

Idiot, Cuban was publicly saying Steve Nash was giving up on the team. It was well known that Nash and Cuban didn't get along. :mindblown:

Do you think he would opt out if he wanted to stay with the Mavericks. :mindblown:

You can't be this stupid. :mindblown:

Am i in the twilight zone?

He opted out because he was making 6 mil and he wanted to secure a long term deal for more money. We see dudes opt out and resign literally every single year.

Are you REALLY this stupid?

Seriously, are you really this stupid?

Dumbass you rarely see someone opt out of a contract and get better deal with their team. :mindblown: This mainly happen when the salary cap jump up league wide like in 2015. :mindblown:

Nash was good but I think it gets lost how much better he got with Phoenix. Suns offered more money and Nash got mad Mavs didn't match. simple as that. He wanted to stay and dallas didn't think he was worth it to match.

No one ever talk about how Dirk Nowitzki went to 2 NBA Finals, MVP, and NBA Champ without Steve Nash.

While Steve "No Defense" Nash never went to a NBA Finals. :mjlol:

The MAVS actually got better when that overrated CAC Steve Nash left. :camby:
this is a weird post.

Dirk was the best player on those Mavs teams. Steve Nash was barely making All NBA teams. What are you doing?

How do you barely make All NBA Teams? Either you do or you don't
he was on the 3rd team

my point is that Dirk was seen as the better player back then. Steve Nash has a before returning to Phoenix and after returning Phoenix placemark in his career. Dirk was on a HOF trajectory from his 2nd season onward, independent of Nash.
