I thought we were looking at this thread from the POV that Dirk was being a consummate pro and doing what's in the best interest of the team.I used to think like this too, got upset that people got paid millions to play a game they love, but you gotta look at it from a different perspective. Theres billions involved in sport, who should make all that money then? The athletes should be the ones that are billionaires, theyre the ones who offer the entertainment that fans pay to see
then save your owner money so he can cry broke during the cba negations brehsbe a superstar and take a paycut so role players can get overpaid brehs
Dirk has said in interviews he turns down all endorsement contracts and just gives the free shyt companies send him to promote away to his friends. He gives 0 fukks about making money off the imaging, branding, and entertainment that being a pro athlete brings.
He probably doesn't even view this contract as a "paycut" like the rest of us do. He most likely thinks he's making far more than he deserves for playing a game as is, and $10mil per in the latter stages of his career when he just wants to contend is more than adquate. Especially given the recent deals KG and Duncan signed.
This is the exact contract I was expecting/hoping for heading into FA. That's my GOAT euro GOAT shooting big man GOAT DFW athlete![]()
Absolutely. I think... @dtownreppin214 can you confirm?
breh, could Dirk walk through any hood in DFW and be good ?![]()
The very concept that players are now being pressured to take paycuts on salaries that are already artificially and arbitrarily lowered by a salary cap, is crazy to me...the very best players are already LITERALLY forced to receive salaries that are a fraction of what they would command in a truly free market, and now they're "greedy" for not sufficiently getting lil boy'd even more out of the fraction they're allowed to get...all the while, the owners are signing billion dollar local tv deals and turning 9 figure annual profits during down years![]()

Word. shyt is corny and comedic. You got these dumb ass fans buying into this nonsense like the sheeple they are.
that's an efficient, responsible German contract.
while Kobe hogging half the cap like a typical selfish lazy I-talian.![]()
He wouldn't have the slightest. But yes, you are correct.Absolutely. I think... @dtownreppin214 can you confirm?
Didn't they give the spurs a run for their money?Easy to take that contract when you know your team is a second round exit at best.
confirmed....i've personally seen dirk hooping in chancletas and cargo shorts in turner courts. he's the unofficial mayor of the city along side dez bryant.Absolutely. I think... @dtownreppin214 can you confirm?
