These nikkas keep going at the knees, cause this subjective "strike zone" sounds great in theory, but the game doesn't stop/slow down for you to make those type of adjustments or to compensate for players lowering their helmets or a size difference.
it's not exactly surprising that you see so many more of these types of hits, cause players are getting fined,ejected and suspended for hitting high.
