I saw the play. It wasn't dirty. Gronkowski went for the jump ball and the defenders targeted the only part he could to stop the reception. Like someone else said, Gronk knows what he signed up for.

Here's video of that shyt since these Vine links aren't working for me:

And that hit wasn't dirty at all.

TJ "THE WARDEN"

GRONK COULD HAVE AVOIDED THAT HIT BY NOT TOUCHING THE BALL

NICE fukkING TACKLE

TEST THE WARDEN AND LOSE!

This is on the NFL....such a terrible league.

How is Ward's low hit on Gronk the NFL's fault? Like others have said, the best way to take down a huge maurauding TE like Gronk is to tackle low. If a player tries to tackle Gronk high, chances are he'll miss the tackle or get trucked. This is football and aiming low is an acceptable tackle form. If Gronk wants to avoid the hit he can 1) give himself up earlier; 2) hurdle ward or 3) don't catch. Strong safeties partly exist to lay down the law and that's what the Warden does. It's not the league's nor Ward's fault Gronk is injury prone and brittle.
