Well if he's on set it's completely understandable. Actors have to get in a certain space to do scenes and they don't like to be distracted.

This. It's not about big leaguing people, it's about the craft and trying to focus so you can nail the scene. Same reason Christian Bale lost his shyt at the DOP years ago for getting in his eyeline, fiddling with lights, while doing an emotional scene.

Very different from blowing people off because he doesn't want to be bothered.
