Is there a single athlete like Kobe where his peers consider him top 2-3 (or at least best of his era) but the sport's fanbase is completely divided? Several fans agree with Dirk but there's as many, if not more, that will vehemently disagree with his opinion.

With every other athlete it seems their peers look at them the same way as the fans, not so much with Kobe.

My hometown ain't got an arenaand where I'm from I never knew many, if any Laker fans. There will never be anyone with Kobe's work ethic and drive again though I'm sure that's a fact
