Perfect example of being given a shytty gimmick and making something great out of it.

When these guys get these start stop pushes, most of the time you aren't trying to make the best out of your situation and promoters hate that.

Imagine walking into a room and 2 executives sit you down and they say "We want you to be the Disco Inferno, and dance to Disco music"

There is not one person who wouldn't just :snoop:

I remember watching his match with Dean Malenko at Bash at the Beach 96 and almost winning the cruiserweight title. I was marking out huge for him by the end.

incidentally, he is on Konnan's podcast this week too. Mlw.com

Which podcast was it? Can you link us?

edit - found it on this page MLW Radio

:wow: Disqo

Dude joined factions without being invited :troll: Dude LOVED his gimmick, it was so fukking corny but he LOVED it and the fans dug that shyt :wow: Just like Norman Smiley.

That's how gimmicks work, you got to LOVE what you are doing. Some of these new wrestlers just don't seem to enjoy the gimmick and just want the wins; tv time. :mjpls:
and Disco loved his shyt and got ALOT of tv time..i remember this nikka having 2 matches on a PPV...he opened damn near every Nitro or was involved in some type of way. he didnt go months without being seen like cats today

:troll: The fans loved Disco. Dude knew how to troll, and throw in a few dance moves. Sure his struggle stunner was meh, but it's because he needed that energy for Dancing. If WCW lasted 5 more years, that feud with 3 Count would been. :wow:

Except the issue I see with Fandango. He tries to hard on being a dancer but not following up after the entrance. Dude needs to be a Don Flamenco. He should hand out Roses to people in the audience, and flirt with the crowd during the matches. Having them touch his body.

The dancing thing is not him, but he nails the sexual aspect of heeling it up. He doesn't dance to taunt when he is in the ring. He just wrestles, which is like. "Why is he not dancing it up?"

He is killing his own gimmick by just wrestling, making him boring.

:umad: Disqo got Konnan good. For all of the prestige Konnan got in his career, Disqo buried that shyt hard with his lyrics. "We eat the worm, it's our turd?" and "Oil of Oley. All day. EVERYDAY!" :banderas:

When Konnan goes shopping he avoids the lotion aisle, because he gets shook looking at a bottle of Oil of Oley. Shattered dream. :banderas:
