I dunno who needed to hear this today, but learning how to move in silence, having discretion, knowing how to interact with people while keeping your mouth shut…

It’s a SUPER POWER.
An art form.
A relationship/marriage saver
A bond keeper.
A life saver.
A job/networking asset.

It goes beyond just minding your business. Or putting on a facade of mystery.

You don’t have to be withdrawn either. You just need to know how to keep your mouth shut in what situations.
You can be happy go lucky, as talkative as you wanna be and still have people know very little about you.

Not everybody needs to know everything. The sun doesn’t need to know the business of the moon.

Especially in relationships. One of the WORST things you can do. WORST THINGS is run your mouth about your relationship to family or friends.

Things will happen in your interactions with others. You will go through ups and downs. But don’t vent about them to people who are untrustworthy. Because once you work through the issues, the drama-driven chatty patties will still be there with a loaded gun filled with ammo ready to start some shyt again.

Not everybody needs to know everything. And keep family out of your friendships, relationships too. Gird your energy. Some of you have people you think are down for you in your circle right now. Your emotional nudes ain’t safe with em.

There are professors being passed up for tenure because once they invited the department to their cribs and the others saw how they were living, they tried to make that professor’s life a living hell.

Why does family violate so damn much?! They can take liberties too far b/c they know you obligated by blood to deal with em.

Crazy part about family is they can be miserable fukks just like others, and many do not have your best interests at heart. They wanna be in your business waiting for you to give them something to throw back into your face.

You have to train them to fall back. A lotta times they so bothered about what you have going on b/c they ain’t got shyt going on themselves.

And the psychological issue underlying that is ceasing the need for outside validation. But this film it culture is terrible for people. They become addicted to the dysfunction. From a behaviorist perspective they receive positive reinforcement in the form of likes instantly for sharing outlandish shyt online. This history of reinforcement maintains and generalizes this type of chatty patty behavior. Fukks up nearly every dynamic of their lives unchecked.
