I dunno who needed to hear this today, but learning how to move in silence, having discretion, knowing how to interact with people while keeping your mouth shut…

It’s a SUPER POWER.
An art form.
A relationship/marriage saver
A bond keeper.
A life saver.
A job/networking asset.

It goes beyond just minding your business. Or putting on a facade of mystery.

You don’t have to be withdrawn either. You just need to know how to keep your mouth shut in what situations.
You can be happy go lucky, as talkative as you wanna be and still have people know very little about you.

Not everybody needs to know everything. The sun doesn’t need to know the business of the moon.

When that book coming brehette? You need to feed the streets. :wow:

In terms of hook ups, women find a man who’s discreet as much as turn on as packing big meat. :dame:

I’m in a relationship now but when I was single, all my hook ups always called me
Back because I wasn’t talking about our business on social media or to others.

Other women see you’re low-key and find that attractive. The amount of guys who
Have fumbled the bag because they can’t shut up would shock them.
Somebody fukking listen to this man. PLEASE!

It’s irritating as fukk in women. But when I see it in men it’s a colossal L. Probably b/c you don’t expect it.

Relationships ruined. Job opportunities lost…

I’ll never forget seeing an explosively violent side to my father when I was younger. Dude he picked up on a job saw a check stub of my dad’s from another paint job he’d finished. This nikka just couldn’t keep his mouth shut about how much he had bought in. Was still talking about it on another job.

Do you know we lost money on another job because of this? And then he tried my dad for more money. Got in his face. I thought my dad was gon beat this dude within every inch of his life.

Just fukking messy.

You're right and I was kicking myself about that this AM

I had a solo trip planned for November...mentioned it to a friend and now it's looking like its transitioning to a guys trip, which I don't want

"Big mouth motherfukker :francis:" - Me to me
I barely take pictures when I’m traveling. My family will hear about it from somebody else.

“Why you ain’t tell us you flew to Vancouver?!!”

“Because I’m grown and I don’t have to?”:troll:

But yeah you definitely have to plan strategically for trips, b/c it’s always that one person in the circle that you do NOT wanna be driving cross country with, that wants to tag along.:wow:

THAT I'm good about

When I went to Europe in November 2019, most people except the inner circle didn't know until I was posting pics from the Louvre and shyt and it's like "WTF when you went to Paris?" and I'm like "Yesterday, I'm in the Dam now though holla at me "

But I missed the previous guys trip because I wasn't vaxxed yet and was'nt trying to go to Vegas quite yet so when my homie is like "You gotta get in on the next trip....we was thinking of going to [Place]"

And then I'm like "Oh snap I'm there in November"

Then he shout out..."Oh shyt...Guys trip in November ya'll!!!"

Whole rest of the night, inside I'm like :stopitslime::unimpressed::mjcry:

TALK TO EM!!!! It's an art form that a lot of people will never master. The peace that comes from knowing when to exercise it coupled with generally minding your business is top tier. :lawd:
Whew chile! Girl! Power of life and death in your own tongue!:whoo::ohlawd:
Chillin in the cut like peroxide. Sippin bubbly feeling lovely!

In high school and college I used to fukk with chatty patties to expose em. I’d feed em false information. Fukk they whole network up and discredit them.

Im so glad most messy people fell off the edges of my circle. High school and college was brazy!

My issue is I think shyt is obvious. I make too many assumptions. In my head I’m like “Nahhh surely EVERYBODY knows this stuff, right?”

But one day. I’ll name it
“The Book of the Obvious: Basic shyt that People Should Know But Curiously Don’t”.

Chapter 1
“If you open something, close it!”

If you gotta complain or post about it, then clearly it's not obvious. :russ:

Write that book, drop those gems, read my username, son. :blessed:

I NEVER ever dated a chic that understood these things. :(
I never found a chic like that, I mean I did but they weren't anything i'd go chase after if you know what I mean.

Remember MSN Messenger?
I had one girl I was dating and she used to pour her emotions on her MSN Status......
You know where you set yourself as available, or busy or be right back, or custom message. Her custom message were her emotions on that day UGHHH... :stopitslime:

She wanted her whole friends list to know how she was feeling all the time :mindblown:

Status: Just had an argument with my man now he not answering my calls
or
Status: I was at my man's house and we got into a fight and he kicked me out of his house.

:wtf::camby:
:russ:

Not the status updates of ya’lls relationship on social media?!!!

Oh that’s the worst set up ever. Why share the Ls and then have people looking at ya’ll like you are crazy if you make back up?!:mjlol:

The sad part is, people put undue strain on their relationships by over sharing with others b/c they lock themselves into an audience and their expectations. All for nothing. Smh

The stewards of these platforms not only have an awareness of this behavior, they actively exploit it and are directly responsible for refining their algorithms to produce these outcomes. This isn't happenstance.
I think I saw something about this shyt on a Netflix show I was watching with some friends.

We were sitting there high learning this shyt and just plumb terrified.

Algorithms designed to make us addicted to oversharing outlandish shyt online. We are being conditioned to be messy, crazy, untrustworthy, ect…:damn:

One dude on the show said they spend billions in marketing and make software developers take classes to learn these skills. From a business perspective it makes sense.

From an ethical perspective it means a very small
group controls the hive mind of the world.:damn::damn::damn:

Had to learn the hard way that everyone can’t be trusted. Even with the most basic of information. I protect my energy at all costs. Even through failure I just keep trying & the good thing about it.. is no one knows shyt so they can’t throw it back in your face.
When I was younger I didn’t understand it. But by middle school I was like “AHHHHH, I get it now. It’s because people ain’t shyt….and a lot of them wanna see you with egg on your face.”:ohhh:
