I agree. I disagree however that he peaked on Hell On Earth, his verses on The Infamous are his peak. Look at Up North Trip, Temperature's Rising, Shook Ones, Give Up the Goods, Survival of the Fittest te only song on Hell On Earth that could match to those tracks lyrically is Frontlines IMO.

P from Juvenile Hell to HNIC was GOAT level, his voice changed and he lost the delivery and it seems like he lost motivation it's been mostly hit and miss since then.
I don't have a problem with Infamous being the peak. He was still very high level on HOE and the Noyd EP. He wasn't GOAT level on Juvenile Hell or HNIC.

I'm not seeing what P does as being that much worse than what a lot of other rappers do. Can you give some examples? In any event, it should be irrelevant to the music.

Examples of rappers who don't do it to the extent of P? KRS-One, Brother Ali, Slug, K-Rino, Rakim, BIg Daddy Kane, Chuck D, even Jay and Nas off mic don't seem too as much. Even Havoc don't and he's more street than P lol. P always talking G shyt off mic but he isn't built like that, and he ain't really trying to fight dudes, Saigon punched him in his face, so did Keith Murray, Havoc beat him up, Sherm punched him in his face, been robbed on numerous occasions, But he thinks he's Al Capone, the Mobb as a crew are serious but P was always just there cause he was talented and shyt, he wern't a gangsta yet he tries to be the biggest gangsta on the planet. I don't want it to seem like i have anything against P, I really don't and am a fan but I don't really take him serious on that level, he's over the top in some senses. It's really everything, it's real see through to me but that doesn't mean he's not a great rapper cause he is, he's seen and been through shyt cause of the crew but he was never the cold hearted evil quick to kill gangsta he portrays.

Sorry - I didn't want a list of people who don't exaggerate as much as P. I meant a list of things he's said and done that show that he exaggerates much more than others.

I agree he's taken more than his fair share of L's. but it seems that your main issue is what he says off the mic. As if you want his actions/statements away from the music to better reflect what a studio gangster he is.

To me, up to the release of Murda Muzik, the Mobb had Gangstarr-esque artistic integrity, you could depend on the Mobb to drop no frills hard music with no intention of crossover success. When they made that Hype Williams video with Nas, that was the first chink in the armor. I never assumed that he was actually out there murdering people. And I don't see how he talks any tougher off record then he does on record?

Oh I see. I think it's just the fact he clearly isn't what he claims. That doesn't mean I don't love their music, just I don't think P's shyt is as authentic as he would have you believe. At the end of the day I have a huge amount of respect and appreciation for Mobb Deep as artists, they are straight up legends in this. I don't have an issue, I don't spend much time thinking about it, I fukk with Mobb's shyt heavy to this day, I loved that P audiobook too, very entertaining. Just I also see shyt for what it is. It's the exaggeration then all the L's that make me not take all that aspect seriously, plus he doesn't have that demeanour, he tries too hard. And no doubt, artistically Mobb had a run that was just hard dark ill shyt, the production mixed with the content, voices, everything was ill, great shyt. They are forever legends for what they did and hardly anything could tarnish that. Lol P's always talking about he was gonna shoot or kill someone off the mic lol.
